Working Pro Bono as a Lawyer

Legal Needs

There are so many things that we have to admire about the American justice system. It is one of the few countries in the world where you know that you are going to get a fair trial. It does not matter what crime you are accused of committing – you will get your day in court. And you will get fair treatment from the judge and/or jury. But what is also complicated about the justice system is how much we rely on quality lawyers. And those who do not have money will have a harder time finding a great lawyer.

Yes, they can always get a public defender. But as we all know, public defenders are overworked and under paid. In most cases, a public defense lawyer is just going to tell their client to take a plea deal. This will be seen as a win by the lawyer. But we want more for these people. Just because they do not have a lot of money does not mean they are not worth the time. That is why we believe that lawyers who can offer their services pro bono for christian legal aid purposes are doing something truly wonderful.

If you are a Christian and you believe in giving back, we feel your skills are more important than your money. Your donations are always appreciated, but your time would be the biggest donation that you could make. If you would be able to spend some hours each week pro bono, and take on at least one new client, then you would be able to help someone in need. This is what it is all about – ensuring that our fellow citizens have the representation they need when they are going to court. We believe this will help them out when they are facing some tough circumstances.
